Thanksgiving

Dan, Lua, and I hosted Thanksgiving this year at our apartment, with help from our neighbors LauraDawn and Matt.  Thankfully, LauraDawn offered to do the bulk of the cooking, including the more complicated dishes.  She made the turkey, gravy, yam casseroles, punch, and a brownie pecan pie.  Dan and I contributed a green bean casserole, bowl of stuffing, can of cranberry sauce, and a giant Costco pie.

We invited members of Dan's grad student cohort, most of whom were far from home, like us.  We had an early dinner, then played games and ate pie for the rest of the afternoon and evening.  Our guests stayed until 10PM, which was very gratifying for us as hosts.  This was our first event at our new apartment, and it was a big, stuffed success!

Special thanks to our fantastic, talented, and generous neighbor, LauraDawn, who is a great source of help and inspiration.
